We recently had the pleasure of welcoming The Mott Family to celebrate the opening of our brand-new lifestyle studio space in Hanoi! Designed with an industrial-style interior, this new space is just a short 200m stroll from our original studio.
This wasn’t the first time we had the joy of photographing the Motts. A while back, they visited us in the winter with their two little puppies, Bap and Chiu. At that time, their first dog Pan, had just passed away. To honor their wish, we helped them create a meaningful family portrait by incorporating Pan’s photo (taken earlier at Very Dep) into the family picture. It was such a touching moment for everyone involved.
Fast forward to today, and the family has happily grown! With the arrival of their newest not-so-furry member, Joey, Mrs. Q decided it was time for a new family portrait - now with all five members. She also chose our makeup and hair styling package, opting for a look that felt natural yet sophisticated for this special occasion.

What makes this family extra special is that all three of their current pups - Chiu, Bap, and Joey - were adopted from foster shelters. Each has their own story of resilience after facing abandonment, which explains why they can sometimes be cautious around strangers.
Chiu is the cheeky troublemaker of the trio. Bap is gentle and shy. Joey, though the newest member, has an easy-going personality and bears a striking resemblance to the late Pan. Perhaps it was fate that led Mrs. Q to adopt her instantly after their first meeting.
As with most pet-and-human shoots, we set aside time for the pups to settle into the studio. Luckily, since Chiu and Bap had already worked with our team before, they quickly warmed up and cooperated nicely. Joey, meanwhile, completely stole our hearts - at one point she lay flat on the floor, belly up, enjoying every bit of attention and belly rubs from the Very Dep crew member.
