Derek is one of our long-time clients from Mott Visuals, the parent company of Very Dep Studio. He works for a well-known Taiwanese footwear manufacturer with its main factory based in Thanh Hoa Province, Vietnam.
This time, Derek reached out for a fresh set of portraits — part corporate profile, part personal refresh. And just like any prepared professional, he showed up ready, with not one but two perfectly curated outfit styles that nailed both his professional and approachable sides.
For his casual look, Derek kept it effortlessly cool with jeans, sneakers, a black T-shirt, and a navy shirt - the kind of outfit that says, “I mean business, but I’m also the guy you’d grab a coffee with.”
Then, for the formal look, he elevated the game with classic brown leather shoes, tailored trousers, and a crisp white shirt, switching between three different blazers for extra flavor. Our personal favorite - and Derek’s too - was the red plaid blazer against the black background. It had that timeless, dashing, “modern gentleman meets effortless cool” vibe that just worked.
The photoshoot itself? A breeze. Lots of laughs, easy chemistry, and a few inside jokes along the way - the kind of energy every photographer dreams of. When Derek reviewed his First Selection, he loved the shots so much that he ended up picking way more than the five included in his package. Honestly, we’ll take that as the best kind of compliment.
